Tourist sites in France

You can find many beautiful tourist sites in France on the Web. Here you can find some interesting tourist sites in France from the point of view of the camper, or the family who will spend their holidays in campsites and who would like to enjoy exceptional tourist sites. These tourist sites are close to beautiful campsites and are very easily accessible in order to give you the opportunity to enjoy a visit or a wonderful walk during your holiday.

The Mont Saint Michel

The place is sumptuous and when you arrive, you see in the distance, on the rocky peak that supports it, the arrow of the abbey that sits atop Mont Saint Michel. It is an experience in itself. Visiting Mont Saint Michel gives a taste of time travel, a mystical experience. This is probably what makes it one of the most visited tourist sites in the world. Of course, a visit to Mont Saint Michel is essential, but once again, I find that it is in the distance that Mont Saint Michel appears to be the most beautiful and when you take the time to contemplate the tide that comes forward and surrounds the rock with its waters. The Mount will become his prisoner for a few hours. It is for this reason, therefore, that the Mont Saint Michel is a unique tourist site that can easily be observed from one of the surrounding campsites. The campsite that offers the best view of Mont Saint Michel is Les Coques d'Or. It is located in the bay, just in front of it a few kilometers away.

The Gorges of Verdon

The Gorges du Verdon are one of the most beautiful natural sites in France. The Gorges enjoy an extraordinary climate and, as a marvel, the thirty kilometres separating it from the Côte d'Azur constitute a psychological rampart that keeps them out of reach of the clouds of tourists who gather by the sea. The Gorges are splendid and allow the practice of white water sports, mountain bike climbing... It is a paradise for sportsmen, hikers and families because at the entrance to the Gorges du Verdon is the magnificent Lake of Sainte Croix, which contributes greatly to the holiday experience you can enjoy in the Verdon. It is therefore a splendid, healthy place, relatively sheltered from the influx of tourists even in summer. There are already many arguments in favour of the Gorges du Verdon. It should be added to this that many picturesque villages are scattered around the Verdon, the most famous of which is Moustier Sainte Marie. There are a multitude of campsites from the Lake of Saint Croix to the source of the Gorges du Verdon. There are in particular very beautiful "wild" campsites and many top-of-the-range campsites.

The Gorges of the Ardèche

For reasons quite similar to those that led us to select the Gorges du Verdon. These are very extensive gorges, less steep than those of the Verdon but with a greater variety of reliefs. Along the Ardèche, you will find many beaches that are accessible, some of them only by canoe. It is therefore both a very touristic place around Vallon Pont d'Arc and its famous arch, but the further away you go, the more wild the environment becomes. The Gorges de l'Ardèche allow the practice of all white water sports, in a very sporty or much quieter way depending on the flow of the river which is related to its size and precipitation. From the camping point of view, it is a paradise. There are many campsites with direct access to the river, with large pitches. In terms of comfort, you have the choice between top-of-the-range campsites or very small campsites without mobile homes, dedicated to camping in a very "root" spirit. In summary: Infinite activities, proximity to nature, few tourists if you wish, entertainment if you are looking for it, campsites that line all the Gorges, many picturesque villages and all this in a splendid nature.
